Full weather day! Sun, lots of wind (the weather) and torrential downpours. Happy with my corner stand near the door until the strong winds and rain. Never mind, everything dried and I’ll put the pictures back in the windy corner once the wind has died down.

Been working on this pastel all week and I’m still without a name that suits. Usual competition rules - all suggestions gratefully received, the one who sends name I choose wins the first signed print.

Someone gave me a piece of Uart 800 grade pastel paper to try - I usually work on Ingres or Canson paper and I loved it! Different technique - more blocky style with less blending  (to preserve my finger ends)

I enjoyed getting the detail of the fir trees and nest as much as the feathers on these ospreys.

Thanks to all the waterproofed people who came to see me at the Fife Show in Cupar today. Shame about the weather after the lovely we’ve had.

In progress, new pastel work of osprey family using fantastic photos supplied by Mark Westgarth.

Meet Thumper a little pastel I’ve just finished today.

I have scheduled another art day at Elie Pavilion for Friday 26th April. As usual it will be a relaxed day of drawing & painting, learning, chatting and eating. Please let me know if you want to join us.

The beginning of a new work in a series depicting Wildlife integrating with our urban world. Watch its progress over the next days.

What do you think of the name of my latest painting. Pastel on paper.
