THE FRUITS OF MY PASTELS
Michelle Hewitt
Michelle is based in East Neuk of Fife. She specialises in painting local wildlife. Having been interested in nature all her life, her primary school teacher gave her a copy of Albrecht Drurer's Young Hare to study and she has never looked back since.
She tries to capture the character of the subject and, as such, always paints the eyes first as she believes that the eyes are the windows to the soul.
Working predominantly in pastel she sells her work worldwide and exhibits her work directly at a variety of public events.
